Fletcher rolled past Atlantic Coast 43-0 on Friday, Oct. 30, in Neptune Beach, ending the regular season with a shutout that snapped the Senators' four-game skid.
The win moved Fletcher to 5-5 on the season, according to MaxPreps. Atlantic Coast dropped to 0-10.
The Senators controlled every quarter.
Jahmyri Jennings rushed for 87 yards and a touchdown on just 10 carries. He also caught a touchdown pass, according to MaxPreps. Quarterback Ty Keister threw for 153 yards and three touchdowns against one interception.
Fletcher had entered the game on a four-game losing streak that dropped the Senators from a projected fifth or sixth seed in the Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA) Region 1-5A bracket all the way to ninth, according to News4JAX. The 43-point margin gave the Senators their fourth win of the season by 23 or more points, per MaxPreps.
Playoff seeding uncertain
The blowout was convincing, but the opponent's record complicates the math. News4JAX listed both Fletcher and Ponte Vedra as needing help to earn a Region 1-5A playoff berth after Week 11.
The FHSAA is set to release the official playoff bracket on Nov. 6. That announcement will determine whether the Senators' season continues or ends at .500.
Fletcher has no future regular-season games scheduled, per MaxPreps.
