A new oceanfront steakhouse is now serving breakfast, lunch and dinner at 1 Ocean Blvd. in Atlantic Beach, open to the public and not just hotel guests.

Coastal Farmer opened in early July inside the Dune House Hotel & Spa, the 193-room independent lifestyle hotel that replaced the former One Ocean Resort & Spa following a renovation completed before the hotel's March 3 opening. The restaurant bills itself as a modern coastal steakhouse sourcing from local farms and nearby waters, with a menu featuring steak, seafood and a raw bar in an à la carte format.

It is open daily.

The restaurant is operated by Sage Restaurant Concepts, the culinary arm of Denver-based Sage Hospitality Group, according to a press release from Hotel Online. Sage Investments entered a joint venture in July 2024 with Aspect Real Estate Group, Corner Lot and Kelco Management and Development to purchase the former One Ocean property.

Andy Allen, CEO of Corner Lot Development, said in a September 2025 press release announcing the transformation: "Dune House is an opportunity to raise the bar for what hospitality can mean in Atlantic Beach."

General manager Erik Kreft said in a January 2026 Visit Jacksonville press release that the hotel aims to be "a destination that will capture the effortless, creative energy of this stretch of coast."

The Jax Daily Record reported July 6 that the restaurant is open seven days a week. According to the restaurant's own website, current hours are breakfast from 7 to 11 a.m., lunch from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., a lounge period from 3 to 5 p.m. and dinner from 5 to 10 p.m. Expect to spend $31 to $50 per person, based on OpenTable's listing.

Dune House also has three additional food and beverage concepts in the works: Soothsayer, a tiki-inspired poolside bar; Café Dune, a casual all-day café; and Sea Turtle Scoops, an ice cream shop. The hotel's website lists all three as debuting summer 2026, though none had opened as of mid-August.
