Super Girl Surf Festival brings 1,500 athletes, free concerts to Jax Beach Nov. 7-8
More than 1,500 female athletes are expected to compete across 10 sports when the Super Girl Surf Festival returns to Jacksonville Beach on Saturday, Nov. 7, and Sunday, Nov. 8.
The free, two-day event features a World Surf League (WSL) QS2000 women's qualifying competition at the Jacksonville Beach Pier, 15 concerts and activities at SeaWalk Pavilion and Latham Plaza. The festival marks Jacksonville Beach's sixth year as a host city and concludes the Super Girl series' 20th season, according to ASA Entertainment's Oct. 1 announcement.
Atlantic Beach native Lanea Mons, 17, is among the surfers expected to compete near the Jacksonville Beach Pier. Other anticipated competitors include former Super Girl champions Eden Walla, Kirra Pinkerton, Leilani McGonagle and Sage Erickson, along with U.S. Olympian Bryce Wettstein.
In 2025, Alyssa Spencer defeated Walla in the Jacksonville Beach final, earning her third career Super Girl cape and tying Hawaiian surfing standout Coco Ho for the most titles in event history, Hoodline reported.
Surf competition returns to Jacksonville Beach Pier
The WSL women's qualifying competition will run from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. both days, bringing professional and emerging surfers to Jacksonville Beach.
The Jacksonville Beach event also concludes the inaugural Quest for the Cape, a three-stop points competition spanning Oceanside, California; Virginia Beach, Virginia; and Jacksonville Beach.
Surfers accumulate points across the series, with the overall title determined at the final stop.
The complete schedule of surfing rounds and awards ceremonies has not yet been confirmed for 2026. Updates will be posted on the official festival schedule.
Beach sports feature volleyball, soccer and flag football
Beyond surfing, the festival will feature women's beach volleyball, beach soccer, flag football and girls beach lacrosse activities.
Volleyball competition includes Open and AA divisions, along with youth brackets for players ages 14 and younger, 16 and younger, and 18 and younger.
Additional activities include a female lifeguard competition, a women's 5K and professional freestyle trampolining hosted by the Freestyle Trampoline Association.
The trampoline demonstrations are a new addition to the Jacksonville Beach festival in 2026.
Specific competition times and registration details for individual sports are expected to be available through the festival's official website.
Lupe Fiasco, Switchfoot headline free concerts
Fifteen free concerts are planned across the weekend at SeaWalk Pavilion, with Grammy-winning artists and nationally recognized acts performing alongside other musicians.
Saturday's headliners include Gym Class Heroes at 7:30 p.m. and Lupe Fiasco at 9 p.m.
Sunday's lineup features B.o.B at 5:15 p.m., followed by Switchfoot at 6:45 p.m.

"The level of female talent coming together across surfing, sports and music is remarkable, and we can't wait to bring that energy to Jacksonville as we close out an incredible 20th year celebration," Rick Bratman, CEO of ASA Entertainment and founder of the Super Girl Festival Series, said in the announcement.
