Beaches-area swimmers can use JaxParks outdoor pools through Monday, Sept. 7, when the 2026 season ends.

The city of Jacksonville's parks department posted the Labor Day weekend schedule in a post on X on Thursday, Sept. 3. The pool season officially closes after Monday.

Final Weekend Pool Hours

Labor Day weekend pool hours:

  • Saturday, Sept. 5: 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Sunday, Sept. 6: 2 to 6 p.m.
  • Monday, Sept. 7: 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The closest JaxParks outdoor pool to the Beaches is at Fletcher High School, 700 Seagate Ave. in Jacksonville Beach. JaxParks operates 31 outdoor pool locations across Jacksonville. The announcement did not specify which pools will be open for the holiday weekend, so swimmers should check with their nearest location before heading out.

During the regular season, which ran June 6 through Aug. 2, pools were open weekdays from 1 to 7 p.m., Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sundays from 2 to 6 p.m. The Labor Day weekend hours follow that same Saturday and Sunday pattern.

No fall or winter outdoor pool programming has been announced.

After the Pools Close, a Splash Pad Stays Open

Families looking for water fun beyond Monday still have an option in Atlantic Beach. The Donner Park Splash Pad at 2072 George St. stays open daily from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. through Sept. 30, according to the city of Atlantic Beach. The splash pad is free and does not require registration.

The splash pad operates on a separate schedule from JaxParks pools and is run by Atlantic Beach's own parks department.
