George's Music has relocated to 1238 Beach Blvd. in Jacksonville Beach's Beach Plaza, moving just over a mile from its longtime Third Street South building. The new space offers expanded lesson rooms, a guitar repair facility and a full inventory of instruments.
Store Fills Former Boston Beef Space With Soft Opening
The Beach Gazette reported the soft opening Sept. 2. The store fills the former Boston Beef space next to Diamonds and Doggies and 101 Ocean.
On its Facebook page, the store announced it was open and invited customers to visit the new location. Jake Mitchum of Haze Brothers Music claimed bragging rights as the store's first official customer, according to a separate post on the page.
New Location Adds Dedicated Guitar Repair Facility
The shop sells guitars, drums, keyboards, amps, pro audio and band instruments. The company promotes a "play it before you buy it" approach, and the Jacksonville Beach location includes a dedicated repair facility focused on guitar service.
Expanded Lesson Rooms Offer Instruction Across Six Instruments
The company describes the location as an expanded facility with state-of-the-art lesson rooms. Private, in-person lessons are available for guitar, drums, piano, bass, voice and ukulele. A $25 trial lesson can be booked through the company's website.
