Early voting for the Nov. 3 General Election opens Tuesday, Oct. 20, at two Beaches locations.

Duval County Supervisor of Elections Jerry Holland announced the 13-day early voting window, which runs through Sunday, Nov. 1, at 24 sites countywide. Two of those sites serve the Beaches.

The Beaches Branch Library at 600 3rd St. in Neptune Beach and the Jacksonville Beach Community Center & Exhibit Hall at 2508 South Beach Parkway in Jacksonville Beach will both accept early voters. Registered Duval County voters may cast a ballot at either location, according to the county elections office. Voters are not assigned to a specific early voting site.

Hours shift across the 13-day window:

  • Tuesday, Oct. 20 – Friday, Oct. 23: 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Saturday, Oct. 24 – Sunday, Oct. 25: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Monday, Oct. 26 – Friday, Oct. 30: 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
  • Saturday, Oct. 31 – Sunday, Nov. 1: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The longest hours fall during the final full week, when polls open at 7 a.m. and close at 7 p.m.

Voters must bring a valid photo ID with a signature. Accepted forms include a Florida driver license, Florida ID card, U.S. passport, military ID, student ID, debit or credit card, concealed weapon license, retirement center ID, public assistance ID and government employee ID card. If a photo ID lacks a signature, a second form of ID with a signature is required. Voters who arrive without any ID may cast a provisional ballot, which the canvassing board will evaluate later.

A new state voter ID law, HB 991, will narrow the list of accepted IDs starting in January 2027, according to Common Cause Florida. The current, broader list remains in effect for the November election.

Secure ballot drop boxes are available inside each early voting site during operating hours. Voters who received a mail ballot can drop it off in person at any of the 24 locations during early voting hours. All mail ballots must reach the Supervisor of Elections office by 7 p.m. on Election Day, Nov. 3.

The voter registration deadline for the Nov. 3 election passed Oct. 5, Holland's office announced in a separate press release.
