Thirty-five third-through-fifth graders at Episcopal School of Jacksonville's Beaches Campus spent an afternoon learning volleyball from 11 of the school's varsity players.

The Munnerlyn Campus varsity volleyball team led the younger students through passing, serving, setting, blocking and digging at the Petway Family Performance Center, according to the school. Phillipa Marks, ESJ's volleyball program director, organized the clinic.

Matt Flakus, ESJ's lower school athletic director, said the clinic gives younger students a chance to build confidence and learn directly from varsity players. The event connected students across ESJ's two campuses.
