The Episcopal School of Jacksonville Beaches Campus Dads' Club will launch its 2026-27 year with a meet-and-greet at Southern Swells Brewing Company in Jacksonville Beach on Thursday, Sept. 17, at 6:30 p.m.
All Beaches Campus dads are invited.
Club president Ian Austin invited fathers to the gathering, calling it a chance to connect in an informal setting and learn about volunteer opportunities for the year ahead. Austin signed an announcement posted on the school's website on Tuesday, Aug. 25, encouraging dads to introduce themselves and bring their ESJ nametags.
The club offers year-round activities that mix volunteering with social time. Past events have included a family outing at Kathryn Abbey Hanna Park where dads and their kids fished and played kickball, according to the school's Instagram account.
Southern Swells is located at 1312 Beach Blvd. and features a private events room and outdoor patio. The brewery can be reached at (904) 372-9289.
Dads can RSVP through the school's Veracross event registration system. According to the club's page on the ESJ website, regular meetings fall on the first Friday of each month once the year is underway.
The kickoff comes one day after the Beaches Campus hosts a free volleyball clinic on Wednesday, Sept. 16, giving families two chances to engage with the school community in the same week.
