The market's next date is Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Jack Russell Park, 800 Seminole Rd. Shoppers can expect microgreens, raw honey, artisanal cheeses, flowers and food-truck meals under the park's live oaks, according to the Beach Gazette's weekly events column.

New Operator Took Over Under May Resolution

Atlantic Beach's city commission approved Resolution No. 26-71 on May 26, granting the contract to Dig Local Network, a 501(c)(3). The city's Arts, Recreation, and Culture Committee noted in its June 9 minutes that the transition to the new operator began July 5.

Beaches Green Market Also Returns Saturday

Dig Local Network also operates the Beaches Green Market at Penman Park in Jacksonville Beach. That market runs Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 321 Penman Rd., with a free community yoga session from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. under the park trees.

Week Kicks Off Friday With Silent Disco at the Pier

The week opens Friday with a Sunset Silent Disco at the Jacksonville Beach Pier, 503 First St. N., at 7 p.m. Attendees pick from three wireless headphone channels playing pop hits and retro classics. Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for children.

Free Sunrise Yoga Set for Sunday at Hanna Park

On Sunday, Hot Spot Power Yoga hosts a free sunrise yoga class at 7 a.m. at the Loggerhead Pavilion in Kathryn Abbey Hanna Park, 500 Wonderwood Dr. Park admission is $5 per vehicle.

Beaches Museum Screens Train Movie Ahead of Train Day

The Beaches Museum wraps the week Thursday with a Train Day Movie Night screening of "The Great Locomotive Chase," a 1956 Walt Disney Productions film. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. at 381 Beach Blvd., Jacksonville Beach. Snacks, drinks and popcorn are included. The screening opens the museum's Riding the Rails: Pablo Beach Train Day celebration, set for Sept. 12 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Admission to all Train Day events is free for children and $5 for non-member adults. Registration is required.

Train Day Full Lineup Includes Model Trains and Car Show

Train Day will feature three operating model train layouts, a Cars Through Decades car show, trackless train rides and a train robber suspect search. The museum's 1911 steam locomotive, the 1900 Florida East Coast Foreman's House and the Mayport Depot will be open to visitors. Boy Scout Troop No. 37 will sell beverages and lunch.
