Early voting hours at Duval County polling sites expand to 12 hours a day starting Monday, Oct. 26, giving Beaches-area voters more time to cast ballots before Election Day.
The new weekday window runs 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Friday, Oct. 30. That is two hours longer than the 8 a.m.–6 p.m. schedule in place during the first week of early voting, which began Tuesday, Oct. 20.
Countywide, voters have already cast 79,691 ballots, Duval County Supervisor of Elections Jerry Holland reported in an Oct. 23 nightly update. The figure combines vote-by-mail returns and in-person early votes. Turnout stands at 12.16%.
Holland's office reported 13,531 early votes cast on Oct. 23 alone. The cumulative total also reflects vote-by-mail ballots processed between nightly reports, though the release does not break out the two categories separately.
Early voting runs through Sunday, Nov. 1. The full schedule:
- Oct. 20–23: 8 a.m.–6 p.m.
- Oct. 24–25: 9 a.m.–5 p.m.
- Oct. 26–30: 7 a.m.–7 p.m.
- Oct. 31–Nov. 1: 9 a.m.–5 p.m.
Weekend hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Polls are open Saturday, Oct. 24, and Sunday, Oct. 25, under that schedule. The final early voting weekend, Oct. 31 and Nov. 1, follows the same 9 a.m.–5 p.m. hours.
Holland's office did not list individual polling locations in the nightly update. Voters can find a full list of early voting sites, including those serving the Beaches, at duvalelections.gov or by calling the Duval County Elections Office at 904-255-8683.
