Beaches voters can cast ballots at two local sites starting Tuesday, Oct. 20, as Duval County opens 24 early voting locations for the 2026 general election.
The Beaches Branch Library at 600 Third St. in Neptune Beach and the Jacksonville Beach Community Center at 2508 South Beach Parkway in Jacksonville Beach are both open through Sunday, Nov. 1, according to the Duval County Supervisor of Elections website. Registered Duval County voters can use any of the 24 sites countywide.
Voters who prefer a mail ballot face a Thursday deadline. Supervisor of Elections Jerry Holland said in an Oct. 20 press release that requests for a vote-by-mail ballot must reach his office by 5 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 22. After that cutoff, the elections office will stop mailing ballots to domestic civilian voters.
Voters who already have a mail ballot can drop it off in person at any early voting site during voting hours or at the Supervisor of Elections office at 105 E. Monroe St. in Jacksonville. The completed ballot must arrive by 7 p.m. on Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 3, to be counted, according to the press release.
Early voting hours
Hours shift during the 13-day window:
- Tuesday, Oct. 20, through Friday, Oct. 23: 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- Saturday, Oct. 24, and Sunday, Oct. 25: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Monday, Oct. 26, through Friday, Oct. 30: 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
- Saturday, Oct. 31, and Sunday, Nov. 1: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
What to bring
Voters need a valid, current photo ID that includes a signature. If the photo ID does not include a signature, a second form of ID with a signature is required. Voters who arrive without ID can cast a provisional ballot, which a canvassing board will later review, according to the elections office.
On Election Day, Nov. 3, polls are open 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., but voters must go to their assigned precinct rather than choosing any site.
Voters with questions can call the Duval County Elections Office at 904-255-8683 or visit duvalelections.gov.
